Notes: Street Rod plates were first authorized on May 24, 1977 by House Bill 254. The original law defined "Street Rods" as "vehicles modified antique automobile manufactured prior to 1949." Some plates have number centered, some have plates right-aligned. DMV replacement plates had riveted numbers. Numbers through approx. 166 issued initially, and later numbers on this base issued as recently as 2020. Perhaps an additional stash was later located at DMV.
