1973 - circa 2006
Manufacturer: Demco (Milford, DE)
Material: Aluminum
Colors: Gold on dark blue
Dimensions: 6" x 12"
Pairs/singles?: Singles
Notes: RV plates were first authorized on May 21, 1973 by Senate Bill 92. Originally plates had a $20 fee and 5,000 lb weight limit. There was a $2.60 fee for every 500 lbs over 5,000 lbs and a $2 fee to change title/reg from current to RV. In 1979, the law was changed to allow RV plates on vans for personal use. Numerals were spot-riveted on for replacement plates, often appearing lower than RV on the plate (see RV202).
