Notes: RT plates were first authorized on May 4, 1994 by House Bill 129. This new law defined "Recreational Trailer" as "a trailer which weighs more than 5,000 pounds, is designed to provide temporary living quarters, and which is built into and is an integral part of, or permanently attached to, a trailer chassis." DMV replacement plates have numbers riveted on (see #RT101).
